  • The Labour Leadership: A Dr Suess style poem

And so the leadership race began
With Milli versus Milli Versus Andy Burn-ham.
They all had one goal and that goal it was so
To take over labour and sort all the woe
That David and Nick would soon leave behind
From their cuts that treated their people unkind.

Millis one and two were first into line
They threw in their hats at the same time.
One worked for Blair and one worked for Brown
And each thought they deserved the New Labour crown.
But Andy dismissed their claims and their quotes
And he started anew in a bid for more votes.

Saying war in Iraq that he did appose
But balls to this as this was his sin
As he had voted for war to begin.

And so the members and Unions began to decide
Which leader they wanted and which to chastise.
They wrangled and waited and swindled and stated
Until it was clear which one was most hated.
They also decided with their votes in the bin
Which candidate drone they wanted to win.
